THE SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS & DISABILITIES COORDINATOR IS: Mr Dean Martin

The SENDCo regularly reviews the progress and attainment of all children. Identification of a particular need may come from these reviews and/or discussions with parents, class teachers or other professionals.

The SENDCo works closely with teachers, other professionals and parents to support the planning of appropriate programmes of intervention and support.

Staff are trained regularly with regard to SEN and specific training is offered according to need. The school nurse team are available to train staff for any specific medical need.

School commissions outside agencies, professionals and specialists as needed to assess and/or provide advice and support for children.

Each class benefits from a teaching assistant to support children to close developmental gaps, overcome barriers to learning and be able to access learning to achieve their full potential.

All members of staff have received first aid training.
