“Rooted and Established in God’s love: nurture, grow, fly” Ephesians 3:17

Welcome to
class 3

Welcome to the Class 3 page

Class 3 is taught by Miss Fraser

Teaching Assistants: Miss Dudha & Miss Hindle

We are Class 3 which is a mix of year 3 and 4 pupils. Our team is Miss Fraser, Miss Dudha and Miss Hindle. We love learning and in many different ways (especially talking!) This term, we are learning about “Disasters and Triumphs” – which is all about invasions and settlements throughout the UK in History and about how these times have shaped our country today. It’s a bit gory but exciting!

Our class novel this term is Varjak Paw by SF Said. It’s the tale of an indoor cat who learns, ‘the way’ to survive in the outside.  It talks about tales passed down over time and that’s just what we are learning about in our English too! Do you know the seven ways of Jalal?

We look forward to sharing more of our learning journey with you as we go. Watch this space…

R.E.

Begin a discussion about trust by playing trust games e.g. leading a blindfolded partner around an obstacle course; putting your hand in a feely bag; falling backwards into the arms of someone who is ready to catch you!  Be careful and do with parent’s permission!

You might want to write a job description of a trustworthy person.

Discuss the relationship between trust and loyalty.

Think about: Is trust important? When? Why?

How does it feel when someone you trust lets you down, betrays you?

What does it mean to betray someone?  Or to be betrayed?

What feelings does it cause?

Read Mark 4: 35-41 – If you don’t have a Bible, you can look it up here:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mark+4&version=NIV

Jesus never let them down and showed them through his actions that he was always trustworthy!

Read on – to where Judas’ betrayed Jesus.

Activity idea: Create a wanted poster for Judas.
