Key Information

Welcome To

Eaglets Class

Mrs Burrow

Eaglets is just the beginning of a wonderful learning journey at our school. We want your child to always feel welcome, safe, cared for and encouraged to do their best. We hope that you find lots of useful information on these pages.

As well as my teaching role, I am proud to say that I am the EYFS lead.  As part of this role I work closely with the staff within our unit, allowing the children to reach their full optimum learning potential. I thoroughly enjoy nurturing young children, supporting their early learning and providing opportunities that enable them to explore and develop. I take a pride in children’s achievements and encourage them to flourish and grow. I look forward to creating a fun, challenging and exciting learning environment to ensure the children have a happy and enjoyable first year at school!

I am  the schools P.E coordinator, ensuring all children are active and have lots of different sporting opportunities, events and competitions. I have developed a girls and boys football squad plus a mixed team with years 3-6. Who regular train and attend extra curricular clubs. We have our own netball team who are involved with the Rossendale Netball League.

I coordinate Music and have developed our own school choir, throughout the year I organise the school choir to perform at school events and community events as well as singing competitions such as: the Last Choir Singing.

I am our schools Senior Well Being Lead as this is something very close to my heart. I offer drop in sessions with staff, parents and pupils to allow a safe space to talk and offer support. I love to assist others and to help them feel empowered, healthier, happier, and more balanced, making it easier to cope with stress, build positive relationships, and enjoy daily life. Additionally, I am  the school’s PSHE/ RSE coordinator and oversea the curriculum throughout school and regularly plan non- uniform days to spread awareness and support charities.

Outside the classroom, I love to spend time with my children and husband. As a family we love travel and explore new places and experience new adventures. I am a Sunday school teacher and regularly attend church and lead worships.

As a teaching group, we aim to instill a love of learning, encouraging children to achieve their best, to make wonderful memories in their first year of school. I am really looking forward to supporting the children to grow and learn this year!
